Location: Behind a dumpster in a small town near New York
Date: July 15, 2025
Injuries:
Her eyes were badly injured—just two bloody hollows left. The wounds were infected and turning black, and her body temperature was dangerously low.
What happened:
My sister found her while hiking. She called me right away, so I drove an hour to get there. This little kitten was lying behind a trash bin, too weak to even meow. Her eyes were still bleeding.
We rushed her to the vet, but treatment was going to be long and expensive. My sister studies abroad, and I just started working not long ago—money’s really tight. The vet was kind enough to help cover some of the cost, but it still wasn’t enough.
We had to pause the treatment for a while. Now Sherna’s staying at my sister’s best friend’s place. We got some anti-inflammatory drops and are cleaning her eyes regularly.
I hope Sherna can win your hearts too. If you like her, please give her some strength and support.
Update:
Aside from her eyes still needing care, she’s doing okay—eating, drinking, and sleeping normally. But she still needs more treatment, and it’s not cheap.
