Injuries:
Her skin was badly inflamed, and she’d lost a lot of fur. She’d been abandoned by her owner while pregnant—and was almost due.
What happened:
I was at work when I got a call from a stranger—another follower. He found Bella abandoned on the street, very pregnant and close to giving birth. He was about to leave New York, so he reached out to me for help.
I left work early and met him. We took Bella to the animal hospital together. He also gave me some money to help out.
But with all the animals I’ve already taken in, I couldn’t keep Bella at my place. So now she’s staying with my best friend. I promised to send $200 every month for her food and care.

Update:
The wound on her neck is healing, and she’s slowly learning to swallow again. She eats a bit slowly, but she drinks water normally and sleeps well. Still, she has a long way to go, and her treatment will cost more.
